The Role:
An excellent opportunity for a professional and committed Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Brazil (S.Paulo), with a combination of hardware and software skills, to develop a career within a dynamic company in an exciting high tech industry.
Reporting to a Service Manager, this is a full time position, with a varied split between field and office based.

The role of Technical Support Specialist will be required to undertake the following tasks and activities:

Mixture of routine system maintenance to ensure system is in correct working order and applying software fixes and updates. Identifying faults by investigating OS and log files either remotely or at sites.
Responding to fault calls and performing break/fix activities when errors and faults occur. Liaising with customer on site and remotely and proactively communicating with Service Manager, escalating issues and identifying areas where service can be improved.
Roll out and installation of new systems and supporting the setup of exhibitions and demonstration activities as required.
Testing and configuration of new systems deployed in all parts of the globe.
Analysis and documentation of system performance in relation to business benefits.
Responsible for compliance with company policies including Health and Safety, Vehicle use, Expenses etc. Must keep good record of mileage, faults attended, materials used, tool requirements.

 The Skills:
Software skills – strong knowledge and experience working with Windows Operating Systems, able to undertake basic diagnostics and troubleshoot errors. Experience of supporting systems remotely, and building PC’s or servers an advantage.
Hardware skills – willing to be ‘hands on’ and with experience of diagnosing hardware faults. Basic knowledge of networking infrastructure, cabling, electrical schematics and electromechanical equipment is an advantage.
Good MS Office skills, including Word and Excel.
Interpersonal skills – must be comfortable operating alone within customer environment and working within a small team. Must have excellent time management and organisational skills, able to communicate well to customers and be comfortable liaising with other colleagues overseas. Well presented.
Experience of working within an international culture would be a bonus.
Flexibility and a ‘can do’ attitude are mandatory.
Must have full driving license and be geographically mobile.
